When I was living in England, the year I was nine, my family visited the Doctor Who museum, near the Welsh border. (I think it was that trip, anyway. [*shudder* I nearly just wrote 'thripp' instead of trip...]) At that point, I had never seen any Doctor Who. Now I have.

I just watched the first two episodes of Season 3 (in the new series; I don't understand the numbering system at all). This is the second season with the Tenth Doctor, David [no, Nicola, not Geoffrey] Tennant.

The second episode was The Shakespeare Code, featuring [duh] one Will Shakespeare. Who, while not exactly my usual image of Will, is indubitably amazing. And it has the best exchange ever in it, when Will tries to flirt with Martha. That is, one of the many times Will tries to flirt with Martha, but anyway:

"Martha: Whoa, nelly! I know for a fact you've got a wife in the country.
Shakespeare: But, Martha, this is town.
The Doctor: (hurrying them on) Come on, we can all have a good flirt later!
Shakespeare: Is that a promise, Doctor?
The Doctor: (sigh) 57 academics just punched the air. Now MOVE!"

*sigh* And David Tennant is pretty. And utterly spastic, at least as the Doctor. And amazing.

Now, don't let my calm tone fool you. I am flipping out over this. Not quite as much as I did over the Turner, or over the production of Zanna Don't I saw yesterday (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!), perhaps, but definitely flipping out. We're gonna watch more tomorrow. yay.

Indeedy! And they both have crazy hair.

The person who introduced me to it likes Martha better than Rose; she actually doesn't like Rose much at all.

We seem to do comedies more in the spring. We did Much Ado last semester. I just (apparently [and from a ridiculously small data set]) don't get leads in comedies.
